Useful Painting Tips and Safety information
The best way to guarantee a professional finish and take full advantage of all the products features is proportional to the time and care dedicated to the preparation of the surface to be coated.
Apply coatings in a dust free environment
Do not apply in direct sunlight - this can cause wrinkling, bubbles or poor flowing due to the accelerated solvent evaporation causing the top layer to cure quickly
Do not paint in the rain or when temperature is lower than 5°C or when humidity is higher than 80% - This may slow down the drying time causing sagging or flatten the gloss
Anticorrosive paints should not be applied when raining or misty - causing loss in anticorrosive power.
Two component paints, epoxy or polyurethane based should be applied in temperatures above 10°C to provide optimum performance
Use the correct type of thinner and ratio in accordance with our instructions - do not add anything else, as this could affect the final coating
Stir thoroughly before application - to provide a even mixture
Keep can tightly closed when not in use
Clean application equipment with suitable thinner
Allow 15 minutes after mixing two component products (A+B) before starting application and use mixture within the specified pot life time
All surfaces to be coated should be thoroughly prepared, cleaned, degreased. A clean surface is a necessary requirement in order to obtain the desired adhesion, protection and durability. Sandpapering between coats is recommended to provide good adhesion between the different coats of the paint and for the entire coating system.
